Job Summary
| The incumbent will be responsible for managing end-to-end natural gas operations, including sourcing, purchase and transportation contract management. The role involves coordination with suppliers, transporters, and customers to ensure seamless gas supply and operations. Key responsibilities include gas nomination, cost analysis, pricing, forecasting, planning, reconciliation, and invoice processing. The position also requires maintaining strong external relationships to support effective operations and contribute to overall business efficiency. |
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement gas sourcing strategies considering demand, market dynamics, and pricing trends.
- Assist in negotiating, finalizing, and managing long-term and short-term contracts (GSAs, GTAs, SPA) with suppliers, LNG aggregators and transporters.
- Evaluate potential sourcing opportunities including but not limited to Term LNG and Spot LNG, ensuring the best commercial outcomes.
- Coordinate with Commercial, Sales, and Operations teams to forecast gas demand across different segments (Domestic PNG, Industrial PNG, and CNG).
- Align sourcing portfolio with seasonal demand fluctuations and new customer additions.
- Ensure balancing between contracted volumes and spot purchases to optimize cost and flexibility.
- Oversee nominations, scheduling, and allocations with suppliers, transporters, and pipeline operators.
- Ensure uninterrupted supply and resolve operational challenges like supply disruptions, imbalance charges or scheduling issues.
- Optimize sourcing portfolio to reduce landed cost and imbalance penalties.
- Attend as company representative, the meetings with PNGRB, MoPNG and other regulatory bodies, if required.
- Ensure adherence to allocation guidelines, policy frameworks, and reporting requirements.
- Keep management updated on regulatory changes and potential business impact.
- Monitor gas price indices and provide inputs for pricing decisions.
- Evaluate risks related to supply disruptions, foreign exchange fluctuations, and price volatility and strategy to mitigate the risk.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers, LNG terminal operators, and government bodies.
- Prepare and submit MIS reports, allocation details, and compliance documents to PNGRB, MoPNG, and other authorities as per timelines.
- Prepare dashboards and regular reports for management on sourcing cost, volume, etc.
